Is a truck with a big pot leaf going to come to my house?
No. Our setup team (made up of background-checked, experienced growers) drive their personal vehicles to your site and do not wear uniforms. The only way your neighbors will recognize us is if we set up THEIR Personal GrowRoom™.
How long does it take to grow these lovely plants ?
The average indoor grow can take anywhere from 10 weeks to 3 months depending on the strain
What is the optimum temp/humidity for these plants?
SEEDLING STAGE
Seedlings and clones like high humidity levels of 65-70%
Temperatures with lights on: 68-77 F° (lights off: 8-9 F° lower)
VEGETATION PERIOD
Humidity levels can be lowered by 5% each week (acceptable range: 40-70%)
Temperatures may be increased slightly if desired.
Temperatures with lights on: 71-82 F° (lights off: 8-9 F° lower)
As the roots are now more developed, they’re able to perform most of the needed water uptake with evaporation through the leaves now cooling the plants.
FLOWERING PERIOD
Humidity levels need to be lowered to 40-50%
IMPORTANT– Never above 60% humidity!
Temperatures with lights on: 68-79 F° (avoid high temperatures)
LATE FLOWERING (1-2 WEEKS BEFORE HARVEST)
While not strictly a necessity, the following can have a direct impact on yield, flavor and appearance:
Bring down humidity levels as much as you can: 30-40%
Lower daytime temperatures, and also increase the temperature difference (day/night)
Temperatures with lights on: 64-75 F° (lights off: minus 9-18 F°)
How much bud will my plant yield?
These plants grown indoors in grow tents normally yield from 1 – 5 ounces per plant
Where can I buy seeds?
Marijuana seeds are legal in Missouri, as across the entirety of the United States. They are legal for sale and purchase, delivery, trade, and collection. Currently most growers purchase seeds online
What are the 4 phases of this plant?
Cannabis growth is divided mainly as
1) seed germination
2) seedling
3) vegetative
4)flowering
What is the proper way to mix TPS nutrients?
1. Use filtered water, if available
2. Optional, adjust pH water to 7 before adding fertilizers
3. Follow feed chart based on your stage of growth, add fertilizers in the flowing order: a. Silica Gold b. Base A c. Base B d. Additional components in no particular order (CalMag, N-Primer, Root Boost, Bloom, Signal)
4. Adjust pH of final solution to 5.5-6.5 before watering plants
5. Water in the morning if possible, when the lights turn on is when plants begin to pump water up to the leaves. This will help plants move water and minerals to the canopy as the plants primary water pumps turn on for the day.
Why is pH balance so important to plants ?
pH is important to plant growth because it determines the availability of almost all essential plant nutrients. At a soil pH of 6.5, the highest number of nutrients are available for plant use.
How can I tell if these plants are healthy?
1. Vibrant colors--these plants are known for their vibrant green color, but did you know they come in a wide variety of different shades and hues? Most are green, but some are blue, purple, black, or even gray, and these colors tend to become more prominent and vibrant when the plants are happy and healthy. Dull shades or patches should be approached with caution, as they could show that something is wrong or needs correcting.
2. Damage free leaves--These plants boast several different types of leaves, including fan leaves that are the furthest from the stem, which means that they get the least amount of nutrients. They are also the largest, most obvious and easiest to visually assess, which is why this is a great place to look for damage. Unexplainable cracks, veins, patches or holes indicate that the plant is in danger, be it due to pests, a lack of nutrients, or some other problem. However, if your pot plant has thick, luscious, vibrant whole fan leaves, then you can rest easy knowing that you’ve got a healthy one.
3. Consistent growth--plants grow a lot when they’re small, but as they progress to the point of bud development, the daily increases in height and thickness do tend to cease. This is normal, but if at any other point, yours stops growing or producing new branches and leaves, then it might not be very healthy. A happy plant, on the other hand, will continue to grow no matter what phase of life it’s in, even if it’s only a small amount each day.
4. Bud production--These plants will develop flower only in the final 8-11 weeks of their life, at which point most of the foliage branches and extensive root system will be established. It will be flow at first, with tiny buds appearing along nearly every part of the plant, but it shouldn’t take long to see their size explode as they grow wider and denser with time. If a week or more goes by, and you don’t see any change in your plant's bud production, then you might want to check things like lighting and PH levels, but if they are progressing, then you’re probably well on your way to a successful harvest.
5. Thickness--Some strains are known to tower over most other varieties with a thin, spaced-out look that appears more tree-like than bushy. Still, no matter what type they are, the thickness of these plants should improve over the course of the growing season. If they don’t, that’s a good sign that your plants aren’t very happy with their level of care, but as long as you see some progress in the thickness department, that should ease your mind.
Hydroponic vs soil--which is better?
While soil is more natural to the plants, it is gentler and produces slower results. On the other hand, hydroponics is more direct as plants have more access to nutrients. As a result, it yields more but is expensive and requires the use of technology.
When do I harvest?
Trichome color: The appearance of the trichomes, the small resin glands on flowers, is one of the surest ways to tell it's time to harvest. Ideally, half of the trichomes should appear milky white and the others should be a vivid amber. Clear trichomes, on the other hand, indicate that it's a good idea to wait a little longer before harvest. Of all the signs to look for, trichome color is the most reliable. This color change might be hard to see with the naked eye, so make sure you have a magnifying glass handy.
How to determine the sex of these plants?
Very early, the male pre-flower (early pollen sacs) simply looks like a more round version than the female pre-flower part. It is often referred to as a “spade”, like the spade suit in cards – squatty with a bulbous bottom and very slight tip. As it becomes slightly larger, the male pre-flower resembles a ball at the end of a stick. The male pre-flower is called a staminate. Then, the staminate eventually develops into a long hanging sack of baby bananas – the pollen sacs.
In contrast, the very early female plant pre-flowers are more ovate in shape: pear-like, but with a longer slender pointed tip. That is called her calyx. Extending from the tip of the calyx may be a pair of pistils, or white hair-like protrusions. However, please note that not every female plant in pre-flower produces pistils.
Why do growers prefer female plants?
These plants are gendered, or for the botanically-inclined, dioecious. Female plants are particularly prized because they form buds that are rich in cannabinoid content. For most growers, maintaining a crop free of male plants is critical to ensuring that female buds are not pollinated
Can I use tap water for my these plants?
Contrary to popular belief, using unfiltered tap water on these plants is not a death sentence for plants. This type of water varies greatly depending on the municipality and its water treatment protocols. Most local public water supply water is fine as long as you keep an eye on the pH levels
Does Miracle-Gro work on these plants?
MiracleGro is not recommended for use when growing our favorite plants. ...these plants go through several different stages through their growing cycle, from seedling to full flowering. In each of these stages, the plant needs a different combination of nutrients to ensure the best possible growth
What is the best way to increase yield on indoor grows?
For higher yields indoor, you want your plants to grow wide rather than tall. You want a bushier plant so more buds have access to direct light, rather than a long, lanky plant with several buds hidden under a canopy. By transferring your plants to larger containers, you can encourage more outward expansion. This is of course in addition to having an overall healthy plant
When do these plants form buds?
It can take anywhere from 7 to 14 days for a plant to enter the pre-flowering stage. Once it does the sex can be determined by the pre-flower found at the nodes. It becomes easier to figure out the sex when the plant goes deeper into vegetation. The flowering stage in these plants usually goes from 8 to 11 weeks, depending on the strain. It's usually divided into weeks or three stages. The flowering period for Indica strains is typically around 8 weeks, but it may take up to 10 weeks. Sativa strains may take up to 10-12 weeks.
